Juryens begrunnelse

"For us, the jury, Honningbarna have everything. They are young, enthusiastic and passionate about their music, which we found exciting, especially on stage. They showed remarkable maturity for their age, and their manager is smart, thoughtful and level-headed.
They came in with clear and focused goals and a realistic outlook on what they can achieve. Their plans for what they would spend the money on were coherent and sensible.

They are enthusiastic and passionate about Kristiansand, proud of their language and dialect at a time when many of their peers (like John Olav Nilsen & Gjengen, Lars Vaular, Fjorden Baby!, Kråkesølv and
Casiokids) are proving that the Norwegian audience and media is eager to listen to those artists who truly represent their hometown.

We firmly believe that they have the momentum to surge forward, that their time is now, that the forces of good are gathering around them.
We can think of no better ambassador for Kristiansand than Honningbarna and we were very proud to award them the prize.
